If a skin TB test is injected too deeply , is it no longer accurate?
I can only tell you what we learned in nursing school. IF you dont get a wheal (little skin bubble) when you inject for the TB test, then you have done it wrong. If you give the injection incorrectly, there is a possibility that the final reading will be false as well. Nursing instructors dont like for you to perform injections incorrectly! We practiced many times on hot dogs and each other before ever getting close to a patient.
